Trainee Company and Trust Administrator

Reporting to: Senior Trust Manager

Purpose of the Position

To support the client service teams where appropriate to succeed in delivering excellent client service through demonstrating thorough and professional administrative capabilities. The position includes assisting the team preparing account applications for banks, preparing communications to clients, inputting banking transactions, writing client entity minutes and ensuring that all procedures are followed in the delivery of their duties.

The Trainee will ensure that they comply with the requirements of FCM Policies and Procedures and Financial Services (Jersey) Law, and requisite Orders, the TCB Code of Practice and the AML/CFT Handbook.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Assisting the Administration Team with the following:

  • Completing account application forms for banks and investment managers
  • Inputting payments using established online banking systems such as Barclays, UBS, Standard Bank, Investec and Bank of Butterfield.
  • Drafting of Minutes / File notes / Attending meetings
  • Dealing with client queries / assisting with written correspondence / e-mail
  • Liaising with 3rd Parties, i.e. lawyers, banks, investment managers
  • Filing using a document management system
  • Updating client files / records/ profiles
  • Adherence to policies and procedures
  • Basic Book-keeping
  • General office duties and tasks

  • A degree of IT awareness and proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
